Call for Papers

This is the third HAAL Research Forum for researchers and teachers in the area of applied linguistics. The forum provides an opportunity for them to report on research, explore ideas, update themselves on current developments and, in general, share their professional interests with others in a friendly and informal atmosphere.

Our keynote speaker is Prof. Andy Kirkpatrick of the Hong Kong Institute of Education.

David Carless of the University of Hong Kong, Becky Kwan of City University of Hong Kong , and Andy Gao of the Hong Kong Institute of Education will participate in a panel discussion titled “Getting published: Multiple voices”.

We are looking for contributions that relate to both quantitative and qualitative research in applied linguistics. Postgraduate students who are nearing the completion of their theses are welcome to submit proposals.

Proposals for papers (20 minutes + 5 mins for Q&A ) should reach the organisers not later than 30 September 2009.

Please note that each presenter is limited to one individual presentation OR one joint presentation.

Please download the Proposal Form here.
