The idea of Translanguaging seems to have disrupted the discourse and thinking in applied linguistics, especially in bilingualism and multilingualism research and other related areas. There is much debate over its added value and what is really about. This talk clarifies some of the fundamentals of the idea of Translanguaging and explores the implications for research questions and design.
